DefineKeywordHistogram Task

The DefineKeywordHistogram task is used to add and edit arguments for the DefineKeywordHistogram command used in a logic template. Performing a DefineKeywordHistogram task consists of the following steps:

Step 1

The first step is to initiate the task by either selecting the Keyword Histogram task in the CATEGORIES task bar along the left side of the Logic Template editor or by double-clicking on the DefineKeywordHistogram command name in the logic template if a DefineKeywordHistogram already exists. If the Keyword Histogram task is not enabled, be sure there is at least one keyword index defined in the related load definition file for this logic template.

The DefineKeywordHistogram dialog box will appear:

Step 2

The second step is to select the Index for the command:

The Index drop-down list will contain only keyword indexes defined in the related load definition file.

Use the Index drop-down list to select the keyword index to be searched.

Step 3

The third step is to specify the Category Order for the command:

Select the Alphabetical radio button to sort the categories returned in alphabetical order.

Select the Reverse Alphabetical radio button to sort the categories returned in reverse alphabetical order.

Select the HTML Variable radio button to specify an HTML variable to dynamically set the order according to the value of the HTML variable. If the HTML variable evaluates to a plus sign (+) the categories will be sorted in alphabetical order. If the HTML variable evaluates to a minus sign (-) the categories will be sorted in reverse alphabetical order.

The HTML Variable can also contain the list of categories in the display order.

Step 4

The fourth step is to specify the Return Items for the command:

Select the All radio button to return all the results for each category.

Select the Count radio button to specify the maximum number of results to be returned for each category.

Select the HTML Variable radio button to specify an HTML variable to dynamically set the maximum number of items to be returned for each category dependant on the value the HTML variable evaluates to.

Step 5

The fifth step is to click the OK button to insert the command into the logic template:

The command is inserted into the logic template where the cursor is located. If the task was initiated by double-clicking on the command name, then the arguments that are changed will be overwritten.
