LinearFilter Task

The LinearFilter task is used to add and edit arguments for the LinearFilter command used in a logic template. Performing a LinearFilter task consists of the following steps:

Step 1

The first step is to initiate the task by either selecting the Numeric->Linear task in the FILTERING task bar along the left side of the Logic Template editor or by double-clicking on the LinearFilter command name in the logic template if a LinearFilter already exists. If the Numeric->Linear task is not enabled, be sure there is at least one numeric data field defined in the related load definition file for this logic template.

The LinearFilter dialog box will appear:

Step 2

The second step is to specify the Boundary for the command:

Use the Boundary drop-down list to specify how the upper and lower bounds of the range are handled.

Step 3

The third step is to select the Data Field for the command:

The Data Field drop-down list will contain only numeric data fields defined in the related load definition file.

Use the Data Field drop-down list to select the name of the data field to be tested.

Step 4

The fourth step is to specify the Range for the command:

Use the Range edit box to specify the name of the HTML variable containing the range used for filtering.

Step 5

The fifth step is to specify the Flag for the command:

Use the Flag to indicate how records with a value of zero are handled.

Step 6

The sixfth step is to click the OK button to insert the command into the logic template:

The command is inserted into the logic template where the cursor is located. If the task was initiated by double-clicking on the command name, then the arguments that are changed will be overwritten.
