The Base Directory dialog box is used to specify the location of the SLICCWARE base directory on the remote machine you would like to connect to.

The base directory is created upon installation of Flexible Search. This directory is usually called "sliccware". In order to obtain a successful secure connection, SLICCWARE ATS must know this location in order to start the SLICCWARE FileManager module which is located in the bin directory under this base directory.

An absolute or relative path may be used.

After the directory has been specified, click the Connect button to telnet to localhost to open the Logon to File Manager Host dialog.
